About John G. Crosby
John joined the United States Air Force in 1993 as a Medical Technician. He supported refugees during the Haitian Crisis at Guantanamo Bay, earning the Air Force Achievement Medal and Humanitarian Service Medal.
In 1997, John cross-trained into communications with the Florida National Guard's 290th Joint Communications Support Squadron, providing USSOCOM network support, field video teleconferencing, and hurricane relief operations — including Hurricane Katrina. He earned the Florida Commendation Medal for this service.
After 9/11, John supported USSOCOM networks internationally and at MacDill AFB, earning the Joint Meritorious Unit Award and Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
Selected for the Warrant Officer Program in 2007, he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and subsequently focused on network security, risk engineering, and cybersecurity architecture for SOCCENT and the National Guard Bureau.
John retired from the U.S. Army as Chief Warrant Officer 2 (CW2) in 2018, then continued supporting USSOCOM J62 cybersecurity requirements as a contractor through 2025. He founded ZTNSS.com to bring that operational experience directly to organizations that need it most.
